Who is CW Wedding Films?
I'm Chas Whatmore, the Director of both CW Wedding Films and our commercial film company, Sole Productions. I'm based here in beautiful Scotland (although I also love to travel for work). I have well over a decade's experience producing video within the full spectrum of filmmaking as well as specialising in weddings. A huge fan of all forms of visual communication. I actually started with photography, which I developed at Dundee University.
When I am not holding a camera you’ll find me hanging with my wife, Helen, and our three boys, Theo, Miles and Baby Jules. We may be at our home just outside Glasgow but we also love to take the boys away to explore the outdoors in our VW camper van.
My filmmaking style blends documentary storytelling with a refined cinematic aesthetic. When I'm filming, I’m both discreet and creative. I can see those special moments or perfect light that others may miss and I love nothing more than capturing them, often without anyone knowing. I love being able to tell your story. It's what makes my work different.
But your film isn’t made just on the day. The magic also happens during the editing stage where I spend hours reviewing the shoot and crafting a gorgeous, authentic film that's completely unique to you and means that you can relive your special day for years to come.
